Prof. Derek Bewley Receives Plant Biology Award

University professor emeritus Derek Bewley, Molecular and Cellular Biology, is the 2010 recipient of the Charles Reid Barnes Life Membership Award. Presented annually by the American Society of Plant Biologists, the award recognizes Bewley’s contributions to the field of plant biology.

Over the course of his 40-year career, Bewley has written several influential books and is a  member of the Royal Society of Canada and a past recipient of the Gleb Krotkov Award from the Canadian Society of Plant Physiologists.
